Constance Pendleton, Jason Gross
Constance Morrow Pendleton and Jason John Gross are to be married on Sunday. The Rev. Chloe A. Breyer, an Episcopal priest, is to officiate at Meridian House in Washington.

Ms. Pendleton, 38, is keeping her name. She is a partner in Davis Wright Tremaine, a Seattle law firm. She works in the Washington office. She graduated cum laude from Barnard and received her law degree from the University of Virginia.
She is the daughter of Elisabeth Morgan Pendleton and Miles S. Pendleton Jr. of Washington. The bride’s father retired as a senior foreign service officer at the State Department; he had been a minister-counselor for political affairs in London and Paris. Her mother retired as a senior counsel in the legal department of the World Bank in Washington.
The bride is a great-granddaughter of the late financier Dwight W. Morrow, who was an ambassador to Mexico and a United States senator from New Jersey, and the late Elizabeth C. Morrow, who was the acting president of Smith College from 1939 to 1940.
Mr. Gross, 39, is the chief of staff to Representative Joseph D. Courtney, a Connecticut Democrat. From 2001 to 2006, he was the managing director of the United States Global Leadership Campaign, an organization in Washington that promotes greater American investment in diplomacy and foreign assistance. He graduated cum laude from Tufts University and has a master’s degree in international relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
He is the son of Anthula Carozi Gross and John Gross of Chevy Chase, Md. The bridegroom’s father retired as an economist in the Energy Information Agency of the Energy Department.
