Jennifer Brosnahan, Kevin McIntyre

Jennifer Ru-chiao Brosnahan and Kevin Joseph McIntyre were married on Saturday at St. Joseph’s on Capitol Hill, a Roman Catholic Church in Washington. Msgr. Peter J. Vaghi performed the ceremony.

Mrs. McIntyre, 35, is a deputy general counsel of the United States Department of Transportation in Washington. From 2003 to 2007, she served in the White House counsel’s office as an associate counsel to the president. She graduated magna cum laude from Harvard, where she also received a law degree, magna cum laude.

She is the daughter of Irene T. Brosnahan and Leger N. M. Brosnahan of Normal, Ill. Her parents retired as professors of English at Illinois State University.

Mr. McIntyre, 47, is a partner in the Cleveland law firm Jones Day. He works in the Washington office, where he specializes in energy law. He graduated magna cum laude from San Diego State University and received a law degree from Georgetown.

He is a son of Alice L. McIntyre and John R. McIntyre Jr. of Ashburn, Va. His mother is a retired pastoral counselor in Fairfax, Va. His father is a retired Air Force colonel who last served at the Defense Intelligence Agency in Washington. He later became a senior systems engineer for Lockheed Martin, the military and aerospace contractor, in Bethesda, Md., from which he is now also retired.
